The friendliness of the staff, the very well-kept site, the cleanliness in the wash houses, the very well-stocked market - everything is perfect. This year we had to find a different solution at very short... notice due to a cancellation of our rental caravan contract, and here too the competent staff at reception were able to help us quickly and we then got a rental caravan. In Dahme and Kellenhusen the beaches are cleaned properly after storms (with wheel loader and trailer) Here I have the feeling that no "heavy equipment" comes in at all...From the nudist beach onwards it will be nice again. We really enjoyed this campsite in Schleswig-Holstein (near Fehmarn, north of Neustadt in Homstein). The entire site is extremely clean and well-kept - all the sanitary buildings, showers and kitchen areas were in top condition at all times.... The staff are friendly, helpful and visibly committed.
The family-friendliness is particularly noteworthy: there is a large, shady playground for children under the age of six with lots of functioning equipment, ropeways, a water playground, bouncy cushions and trampolines - everything is in top condition. The mini golf course is also very well maintained.
The pitches are spacious and the infrastructure is good - including a small supermarket with fair prices and a good restaurant. Night-time peace is also respected, which makes for quiet evenings.
The only real downside: the direct access to the beach is natural, but not very inviting. The sandy beach was heavily eroded by a storm surge a few years ago. Today, the section is pebbly and full of algae - no comparison to the well-kept beaches in Dahme, Kellenhusen or Grömitz. The beaches there are cleaned regularly, but unfortunately not here. But there is no visitor's tax here.
Conclusion: If you are looking for peace, cleanliness, great children's facilities and a well-kept resort, you will be very happy here.
